Say Aloha to AloeVa

Are you getting sick of dry, frizzy hair? Essentique has the answer to your prayers. AloeVa, one of our prized hair washes, is a great solution to dry, unbalanced, and dehydrated hair. It cleanses without stripping its healthy oils, leaving soft and hydrated, but clean and fresh hair.

AloeVa is composed of ingredients all known to be quite beneficial for the hair. Guava fruit and guava extract are packed with high contents of vitamins, and when applied directly to the scalp, they are known to prevent dandruff. Ultimately, these ingredients may help prevent hair loss, while also restoring the vitality of your hair. The health, strength, shine, and luster of your hair can partially be attributed to these two magnificent ingredients, however, there are a couple of other ingredients in this hair wash that make it stand out from others.

Another ingredient that illuminates the success of this product is its inclusion of aloe vera gel which is extensively used in beauty products. Aloe vera leaves contain a translucent gel made up of 96% water, organic and inorganic compounds, proteins, vitamins A, B, C, and E, and proteolytic enzymes that repair dead skin cells found on the scalp’s surface. It is an incredibly hydrating and replenishing ingredient that leaves hair smooth and shiny. Because of its contents, it can promote hair growth, prevent itching, and reduce dandruff. Not only that, but it has a chemical makeup similar to our hairs primary natural protein, Keratin, so it rejuvenates the hair providing more elasticity and preventing breakage while remaining true to our hair’s natural conditions.

In order to maintain healthy hair, there needs to be a balance of moisture and protein. In our AloeVa product, oat protein is used to reduce breakage, soften, smooth, repair, and protect. All proteins are considered strengthening proteins, meaning that the right amount of protein in your hair will result in strong, luscious locks.

Wondering how you can see if your hair is lacking protein? Here is how you can check at home:

  1. Shampoo and rinse your hair, and while it is still wet, grab approximately one inch between your fingers
  2. Gently pull and observe your hairs behavior
  3. If your hair doesn’t stretch and simply breaks, or it feels rough and brittle, then you are lacking moisture
  4. If your hair stretches a long way and then breaks, or doesn’t break at all, then you are lacking protein
  5. If your hair stretches a little bit and then returns to its normal length without breaking, then your hair is well balanced

Either way, include Essentique’s AloeVa hair wash into your hair care routine to promote healthier, better-balanced locks. Your hair will thank you!
